dynomite1The bomb went off and Juniper Golf Club has initiated some radical changes to the membership structure.  Membership fees have come down and new categories have been added in an attempt to offer a great golf value to any and all golfers.

To kick off the membership promotion, we have reduced our $600 joining fee to $250 through the month of December 2009.  To sweeten the deal even more, we will give you a $150 gift card to use in our pro shop or restaurant, "The View".   OK, let's make it even better.  How about no dues until February of 2010?

Juniper has received recognition from Golf Digest:  1) one of the best new golf courses in 2006; 2) a 4 star "Best Places to Play" golf course; and 3) being named as the best municipal golf course in the State of Oregon.  Throw in host of the 2010 Oregon Open this next summer and you can see that Juniper is obviously a quality golf course.  The great condition of our bent grass greens receives high praise and some degree of amazement!

So what membership category is best for you?  Check out the link to each of the memberships to see what gives you the best deal. Stop by or call our office (923-8198 x53) for more information!

Mother Nature was the winner over the past week-end.  Between the snowfall and the cold windy weather,  the Deer Widows Invitational was cut short a day.  Sunday's round was cancelled and the tournament winners were declared based upon Saturday's scores.  Congratulations are in order to Sue Boyle and Partner Doris Yillik as well as Mindy Rutkowski and partner Darcie Trimmer.  Both teams shot rounds of 76 on Saturday to tie for the gross title.  Sally Martin and Jackie Yake shot the low net score of 64 to take the C division title.

The 40th Annual Juniper Best Ball Tournament  was played this past week-end.  The field of 192 players conpeted in two divisions, a open division and a senior division.  The winner in each division shot the same score so age appeared to not be a factor.  Mike Swingle and father, Robert Swingle tied with Brian Trowbridge and Scott Turner in the Open Division with a great score of 136.  The senior division had three teams shoot the 136 score.  Mike Reuther and Stein Swenson tied with John Jayne and Mike Peyton.  Ed Carson and Kim Schwencke shot that 136 gross score but their 127 Net score tied them for low net in the senior division with David Flippen and Jerry McKay.  What can you say, a two way tie gets you more money than a three way tie!  Low net in the open division was Doug Jacobson and Tom Ottaway.  Congratulations to all our winners  For a complete list of the winners, click the link below.
